Sakala Resort Bali Review
Are you planning to visit Bali, Indonesia and thinking where is the best place to stay? Sakala Resort is 30-minute drive from Ngurah Rai International Airport.
During the Chinese New Year short break, my family decided to have a short getaway in Bali, Indonesia on Jan.30 to Feb.2, 2017. After searching around the internet – for the best place to stay in Bali,Indonesia – I stumbled upon this place called the “Sakala Resort” formerly known as the Mantra Sakala Resort.
In this post, I will share with you my experience staying at the Sakala Resort Bali in Nusa Dua, Indonesia.
This is the reception area of the Sakala Resort, Bali Indonesia. The staffs were friendly and helpful. When we arrived at the resort, they provide us a welcome drink and our check-in was smooth and fast.
The Sakala Resort Bali is a luxurious resort tastefully blend modern interiors with traditional Balinese touches.
The Sakala resort Bali is located on the beachfront. The area is split into the hotel with accommodation on one side of the road and the beach club on the other side of the road.
The beach club has a pool and restaurant and leads out onto the beach area. They also have an upper view deck to see the amazing beach view.
It has two outdoor swimming pool (this is the pool on the beach club wing).
This was taken on the beach club side. Not much activities because of continues rain.
Just a quick snap shot at the beach.

The pool has little cabanas that have seats to relax and sun bath – great if you want to get out of the sun.
The swimming pools was clean and beautiful though we did not had a chance to use it because most of the time we were out visiting Bali’s famous temples.
Sakala Resort, Bali has two dining options with 24-hour room service. They provide Free WiFi throughout the property.
The Sakala Resort Deluxe Room
Room is spacious, bed is comfortable and huge, pillows were good.
The king size bed is just enough to accommodate 3 adults. We were able to fit in one bed (myself, my husband and my daughter).
Nevertheless, you can also request an extra bed.
We spent 4 days and 3 nights at the Sakala Resort, Bali and I would say that this is value for money with great atmosphere and nice facilities.
The toilet was so spacious. They’ve got one shower room and toilet with a separate bath tub.
The Sakala Resort Restaurant
Two restaurants in the resort. One restaurant located at the beach club side offer french cuisine and the other restaurant is located at the accommodation wing near the swimming pool – they offer Indonesian food.
The Food I’ve Tried At Sakala Resort
Their breakfast buffet is just okay. They’ve got salad bar, congee, pancake, sausages, bacon, eggs, cheese, breads and different selection of fresh fruit juice and fruits.
This is the free appetiser served during our dinner (crunchy krupuk with peanut)
Bebek Betutu (steam roasted organic duck with root spicy cassava leaves, served with trio sambal)
Balung Meurab (chargill calamari with seaweed salad, served with coconut and chilli vinegar)
Gado Gado Roll (organic vegetables with peanut dressings, tempe and tofu.
Chicken and Shrimp Satay
Yummy Desserts At Sakala Resort
Kolak Mutiara (sweet banana with cocomut milk and palm sugar)
Nusantara Srikaya (Indonesian cream brulee with coconut milk and banana)
My family and I are happy to stay at the Sakala Resort, Bali.
Enjoy Bali and have a pleasant stay at the Sakala Resort!
