During our Morocco trip, we stayed 5 days and 4 nights at the Grand Mogador City Center Hotel in Casablanca.
Spacious Rooms for a Family Stay
The Grand Mogador Hotel became our cozy base during our trip to Morocco.
The hotel is elegant and modern, with spacious interiors that immediately give a sense of comfort.
We booked a Deluxe Room, which turned out to be large enough for three adults. The hotel arranged an extra bed so my daughter could stay with us, and it still didn’t feel crowded. The bathroom was also thoughtfully designed, with a separate bidet and toilet room, which made it more convenient for a family stay.
Location and Accessibility
If there’s one thing to note, it’s the location. The hotel is not in the immediate heart of the city. By car, it takes around 10–15 minutes to reach Casablanca city center and about 40 minutes to Mohammed V International Airport.
Public transportation is not the easiest from here, so most travelers rely on taxis or private cars. Since we joined a guided tour package, transportation was already arranged for us, which made the location less of an issue. But if traveling independently, it might feel a bit inconvenient.
Our Daily Routine During the Stay
Our trip was packed:
Day 1: Casablanca & Rabat tour
Day 2: Fes tour
Day 3: Marrakech tour
Because of the long day trips and the hot weather, we often returned to the hotel completely exhausted. Instead of exploring the neighborhood, we usually ordered food delivery and enjoyed the comfort of our room.
Dining Experience at Open Bistro
One highlight of our stay was dining at Open Bistro, the hotel’s newly opened restaurant. It offers refined cuisine in a serene setting, perfect after a long day of tours. I personally tried the fish tajine, which was both flavorful and beautifully presented.
Even though we were often too tired to explore Casablanca’s food scene, having a quality in-house restaurant made things so much easier.

Despite the location being a bit off from the main city attractions, the Grand Mogador City Center Hotel is ideal for:
Travelers joining guided tours where transportation is already included
Families or groups looking for spacious rooms and comfort
Guests who want a quiet stay with on-site dining options
For us, it was the perfect base to rest and recharge after long excursions. If comfort and relaxation are a priority, this hotel is a great choice.
