This wasn’t part of the plan. But due to an unexpected twist of events—my daughter’s China visa issue and a looming super typhoon—we ended up rushing our way to Parisian Casino Macau a few days earlier than expected.
Let me tell you how it all happened.
Visa Trouble and Weather Warnings
My daughter was about to overstay in China because her visa was running out. At the same time, we heard news about a strong typhoon heading our way. Flights were already getting delayed and we knew it was just a matter of time before they started getting canceled.
We didn’t want to take the risk.
Crossing the Border to Macau
With the weather getting worse and time running out on her visa, we made a quick decision—we packed up and headed to Macau earlier than planned.
We took a train to the China border, and from there, crossed over to Macau. It was a bit of a rush, but thankfully everything went smoothly.
Why We Chose Parisian Casino Macau
We were originally booked at the Venetian for Friday, but since they couldn’t accommodate us for an extra night—and my husband wasn’t able to join this time—we had to look for another option for our early arrival.
That’s how we ended up at Parisian Casino Macau.
And honestly? It turned out to be a wonderful surprise.
The place was beautiful. From the moment we stepped in, it truly felt like a slice of Paris. The Eiffel Tower replica lit up the evening sky, and the hotel itself had this cozy yet elegant charm that made the stay feel special.
A Relaxing Escape Before the Storm
Despite the rush, it was nice to unwind at Parisian Casino Macau. We enjoyed a quiet dinner, walked around the shopping area, and took a few pictures near the fountain.
It felt like a mini vacation before the chaos of the typhoon.
Final Thoughts: A Different Experience at Parisian Casino Macau
Based on my experience, if I compare Parisian Casino Macau to Sheraton Macau, where we usually stay—the rooms at Parisian felt a bit smaller. The overall layout was more compact, and even the shops inside the hotel were fewer and smaller compared to those in other nearby resorts like the Venetian or the Londoner.
It still had a certain charm, especially with its Paris-themed decor and Eiffel Tower views, but for longer stays or if traveling with family, I personally find the Sheraton Macau more spacious and convenient.
That said, Parisian was a lovely change of scenery and worked out perfectly for our unexpected early arrival.
